As The Year Ends.
Your Monday Motivation: As The Year Ends.
It has been 52 weeks of content. It gives me great pleasure that you have been able to motivate me to write these pieces every week. I try as much as possible to remain original; I do not script the content earlier or plan on what to write (save for times when random things happen and I take notes which I find relevant to my pieces later). I mainly get into nature for inspiration; other times I observe our shared humanity or engage in deep personal reflection to get inspiration. I believe there is massive room for originality and that humans deeply identify with each other's experiences.
To everyone following and interacting with the pieces I write here, especially my Monday Motivations, I say a big and loud THANK YOU. My first piece this year was on DISCIPLINE, HAPPINESS, and MANIFESTATION. I have many other times written about them again. I am happy I have followed many of the things I shared (regarding the above) and have achieved results I am well pleased with.
As your motivation for today, I would share a key thing I have learned this year (others will follow in subsequent posts). When you do the hard things, they gradually become easy. Our body is wired to love familiarity and to attach ease to familiarity. But when we push ourselves beyond our limits, we set new limits and our body begins to become familiar with these new limits. Some 10 years ago, when I learned my friend's sister showered with cold water regardless of how cold it was, I thought she was abnormal. Fast forward to now, I do not remember showering with hot water more than 7 times throughout the year. It has reached a point where my body has already adjusted and I do not panic or think twice. It is already used to it, regardless of how cold it is.
The same thing happens with all your endeavors. You just need to push yourself beyond your limits. Your body and soul will figure out a way to accommodate this after initial resistance. This is why discipline and persistence will always be key to building anything massive and qualitative.
As we draw the curtain for 2024 in this end, I wish you all enough happiness to last you a lifetime; enough happiness to love and to be kind.
See you next week folks!
