Your Monday Motivation: May God Make All Your Plans Succeed. I am confident many of you answered yes to the prayer above. Sure! I was listening to a sermon where the pastor made the same prayer above. The congregation chanted a loud 'Amen' to which she interjected: "But which plan?" Strange enough many of us only have desires; dire wishes for things to happen a certain way; a long aspiration for an easy life, but without a solid plan to make all of these happen. There is place for luck in the grand scheme of things, but it USUALLY comes to those who make an EFFORT. The universe conspires to make things work for you when you also put out the work required. Pastor Ibukun implied that desires are good, but what is the evidence of the work towards it? Building for the long term requires diligence. Make no mistake, writing your plans down or talking to people about them does not mean doing the work. Talk is cheap. So can be writing too. Doing the work IS WHAT IS HARD, and implies rolling up your sleeves and getting down to the deeper business of taking actionable steps that actualize your plan. This is where the real value comes from. Now be honest with yourself, are you diligent? Do you deserve that future you're yearning for? Here is to a great week folks.
